BATTLESTAR GALACTICA: THE PLAN

In the movie they got right you might have to ignore Dean Stockwell's dual roles to enjoy this otherwise brilliant sci-fi epic. Creepy time engines result in galactic armageddon before the many Cylon spies learn what it is to be human and get 'airlocked' for their troubles.

The dark, edgy and stunningly well paced thriller Angel Heart is a detective story you have to watch to the end. When Mickey Rourke pulls off a performance like this and Robert De Niro is allotted in perfect contrast to play the very devil himself, here we have an atmosphere of sheer chilling electricity.

Patrick Fabian's ex exorcist takes us along an engaging character arc to expose the tricks of the trade when he finds a potentially genuine case of demonic possession. The found footage style is for once well done here and the subtle statements the plot has to make keeps us guessing all the way through.

A political action thriller has Sean Bean once again at his SAS best. The gripping true to life portrayal of government and terrorist, blurs the clear cut into greys between our hero and a radical cleric played by a great Peter Polycarpou lending his uniquely dramatic weight to this troubling story.
